Early morning East Side shootings injured 2

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police said two people were injured in unrelated shootings early Sunday on the city’s East Side.

Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said the first shooting happened about 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Nathaniel Road and St. Clair Avenue in the city’s South Collinwood neighborhood where the victim was struck in the back.

Lanton said the victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to University Hospitals by a private vehicle and his current condition remains unknown.

Cleveland police allegedly attacked, raped girlfriend in Parma

PARMA, Ohio – Police said an off-duty Cleveland police officer was arrested Saturday after being accused of pistol-whipping and sexually assaulting his girlfriend.

Parma police Capt. Kevin Riley said the officer, who has not been named by Parma or Cleveland police, is being held in the Parma City Jail.

The 51-year-old officer is expected to face charges of rape, felonious assault and domestic violence.

According to a Parma police report, the officer allegedly pointed a gun at the 42-year-old woman and pistol-whipped her at a house on State Road.

2 people stabbed on Cleveland’s West Side

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police said a man and a woman were each stabbed several times Sunday evening on the city’s West Side.

Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said the stabbing took place about 5:15 p.m. on the 2000 block of Broadview Road in the city’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood.

Lanton said the two victims, a 34-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, were taken to MetroHealth for treatment.

The victim’s current conditions are unknown and details were not immediately released. No arrests have been made.

Teen fatally stabbed in Cudell; man shot dead in Central

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities said a male teenager was found stabbed to death early Sunday in the city’s Cudell neighborhood.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said police responded about 4:30 a.m. to a house on the 2000 block of West 105th Street where officers reportedly found a 14-year-old boy “obviously deceased” in an upstairs bedroom.

Ciaccia said the victim, identified as Jason Davis, was stabbed in the neck.

Officials learned during their investigation that an 18-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were in the house with Jason at the time of the stabbing. The duo reportedly left sometimes after the incident.

Man shot dead after breaking into ex-gf’s home

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police said a Cleveland man was shot dead Tuesday afternoon after he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s East Side house and threatened her and the alleged shooter with a knife.

Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said police responded about 11:45 a.m. to a house on the 3300 block of East 128th Street in the city’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood.

Officers reportedly found Joshua Bady, 22, with several gunshot wounds in the kitchen of the house in the East 128th Street.

Lanton said Bady was taken to University Hospitals, where he died about 12:30 p.m.

Man shot dead in Cleveland’s East Side apartment

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A 36-year-old man was reportedly shot to death Friday afternoon in an apartment on Cleveland’s East Side.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said Marquis Ford died Friday afternoon in an apartment on the 2500 block of East 40th Street.

Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said police, along with Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority police, responded about 3 p.m. to the apartment, where officers found Ford and a woman with gunshot wounds.

Lanton said the woman was taken to MetroHealth. Her current condition is unknown. Investigators remained at the shooting scene until about 6 p.m. Friday.

Teen injured in East Side shooting

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities said a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back Friday evening on the city’s East Side.

Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said the teenager was struck in the back about 5:50 p.m. on the 16000 block of Dynes Avenue.

Lanton said the boy was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital for treatment and his current condition remains unknown. The circumstances of the shooting have not been released.

In a separate incident, a 52-year-old Cleveland man was arrested Thursday in connection with a deadly shooting outside a convenience store that stemmed from an argument.
