CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Police Department is investigating the death of a man who tried to get his vehicle back after it was carjacked early Sunday morning.

It started on the 2100 block of W. 98th Street shortly after a friend of the 44-year-old Cleveland man let his friend borrow his car at around 3:30 early Sunday morning and was carjacked a short time later, according to the reports.

The Cleveland man’s friend was able to escape the carjackers. He told the authorities that a group of individuals armed with knives and base ball bats carjacked his friend’s car.
