FORT WORTH, Texas — The jury in state District Judge Scott Wisch‘s court on Friday reportedly convicted a 47-year-old Arlington man of killing his estranged wife, her new boyfriend, and her sister-in-law on June 2011.
Dalton James Bennett Jr. has been convicted of capital murder, and was automatically sentenced to life in prison without parole. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty.
Bennett reportedly killed his estranged wife, Sheryl Bennett; her new boyfriend, Jose Reyes; and her sister-in-law, Tana Todd. Tana Todd’s husband, Johnny Todd, who is Sheryl Bennett’s brother, survived a neck wound.
