Man stabbed to death in Clark-Fulton neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities said an 18-year-old man was found stabbed to death Monday in Clark-Fulton neighborhood.

Police said the man, who has not been identified, was found dead about 2 p.m. at a home in the 3200 block of West 44th Street, between Carlysle and Hyde avenues.

Police said the victim was allegedly stabbed in the throat. According to witnesses who called 911 after another man found the victim dead, there were also stab wounds on the victim’s lower abdomen and one on his upper back.

U.S. marshals shot suspect after chase through Alamo Heights

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Officials said an apparently unarmed man was shot by U.S. marshals three times after the man allegedly led them on a chase through the area of Alamo Heights Monday morning.

San Antonio police spokesman Doug Greene said marshals were trying to arrest the suspect, who was later identified as 32-year-old John Carlos Alvear.

Alvear was wanted on three felony warrants, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest and assault family violence.

The spokesman said police reportedly encountered Alvear Friday, but he fled after an altercation with police. San Antonio police reportedly sought help from U.S. marshals.

3 men killed in Tarrant County police chase

GRAPEVINE, Texas – Officials reportedly identified on Monday the three men killed in a crash following a police chase through northeast Tarrant County Sunday morning.

The pursuit reportedly began in Haltom City when officers attempted to stop a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle driven by a suspected drunken driver on North Beach Street.

The driver was reportedly identified as Ricardo Anthony Valdez, 24, who led police through six cities in northeast Tarrant County before crashing in Grapevine.

Valdez was killed in the wreck. His two passengers were also killed.

Mom of 3 shot to death, child abducted

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A 37-year-old man reportedly killed the mother of his three children during a confrontation before the man fled with their 18-month-old son.

A report states Richard Jose Concepcion has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being found in Guadalupe County. The couple’s 18-month-old son, Aaron Joseph Concepcion, was found unharmed.

After shooting the woman, a manhunt was launched for Jose Concepcion who police say fled with the toddler in a white 2016 Toyota Tundra, license plate GH58MH. An Amber Alert was also issued.

Court records show Sarah Alexis Furey, 32, filed a petition to divorce Concepcion on Oct. 31, 2017.

Man, teen charged in deadly Cleveland home invasion

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 39-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy are charged in connection with the shooting death of a suspected marijuana dealer during an alleged home invasion.

Juan Delgado is charged with aggravated murder in the Jan. 7 death of James Dowell. He is in the Cleveland City Jail awaiting his first court appearance.

A 15-year-old boy is also charged with aggravated murder in the case and is being held in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center.

A 39-year-old co-defendant, Wilfredo Garcia Rodriguez, is also charged with aggravated murder in the plot to rob Dowell.

Man allegedly broke into North Side home through doggy door

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A 21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after he was caught allegedly breaking into a North Side home through a doggy door before burglarizing it for the second time.

Joseph Anthony Castillo now faces a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft. He was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

Castillo reportedly broke into the home of Robert Stuckey, who said Castillo first hit his home around Christmas, but he came back on Jan. 9 and this time, Stuckey caught him on his Ring home security system.

3 Borger suspects arrested in Amarillo homicide

AMARILLO, Texas — Two 28-year-old Borger men and a woman were arrested in the death of a 53-yar-old man who died in August after a fight in west Amarillo.

The Amarillo Police Department said Cody Marc Sherwood and Stevan Wesley Hayes have been charged with manslaughter in the death of Joseph Guzman.

Guzman reportedly died Aug. 8, nine days after he was allegedly involved in a fight at his home on Cervin Drive.

Sherwood and Hayes have also been charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. They were being held on $5,000 in surety bonds.

Married couple, neighbor found dead in Bryan apartment

BRYAN, Texas – Authorities say a married couple and their neighbor were found dead in a Bryan apartment early Wednesday.

Police said the victims likely died from gunshot wounds and that the case remained under investigation.

Virginia Ann Benefield, 46, and her husband, Melvin Nathan Benefield, 54 were found dead in their unit at Canyon Village Apartments, which is at 3200 block of Finfeather Road.

A neighbor and friend of the couple, Larry Darnell Davis, 65, was also found dead in the unit. It wasn’t clear Wednesday what he was doing at their residence.

Ohio deputy fatally shot teen in courtroom during altercation

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Reports say a teen was fatally shot by an Ohio deputy when he and his family members began fighting with the officer during a court hearing Wednesday.

Reports say Joseph Haynes, 16, was in a juvenile courtroom during a hearing in the Franklin County Courthouse on a charge of menacing with a firearm.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Rick Minerd said Haynes and his family members began scuffling with a deputy in the courtroom during the hearing at 12:40 p.m. The deputy was reportedly attacked and knocked to the ground.

Man killed in Socorro shooting involving Border Patrol agent

EL PASO, Texas — El Paso County sheriff’s officials on Wednesday reportedly identified the 33-year-old man killed in a shooting involving an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent Sunday in Socorro.

Sheriff’s officials said Socorro police reportedly found Juan Daniel Jacques shot to death when officers responded to a call of an aggravated assault in progress.

The investigation is being handled by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s officials had said that the shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Melendez Drive.
