Woman fatally stabbed by husband in Northeast Side

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — San Antonio police said a man allegedly stabbed his wife to death  in the neck at a Northeast Side apartment complex early Sunday morning following an argument.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that a woman died after an incident on the 12000 block of Scarsdale that occurred around 4 a.m.

Police said officers responded to the scene where they found a woman with knife wound to the neck. Police said the couple were arguing inside their apartment when the husband pulled out a knife, stabbed his wife in the neck and then fled.

Cleveland State janitor, gf killed in apparent double homicide

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Tremont couple was found dead Friday afternoon in a suspected double homicide in Tremont neighborhood.

The 63-year-old man  and his longtime girlfriend, who was battling cancer, were found dead about noon Friday inside their apartment in the 3100 block of Scranton Road, just south of Clark Avenue, according to police and family members.

The man was a janitor at Cleveland State University. His identity has not been publicly released. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the woman as Rita Berish, 54.

Bexar County man robbed after paying back $10 debt

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Authorities said a 27-year-old man was arrested after a Bexar County man was beaten and robbed over an old $10 debt even though he had already paid back the money.

Andre Williams was arrested Thursday in connection to the alleged attack in the 10500 block of Mustang Walk on May 18.

An arrest affidavit states the victim reportedly got a call that day from an acquaintance who said he would be in the area and wanted $10 the victim had allegedly owed him for months.

2 men shot outside Cleveland strip club

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Authorities said two men were shot early Monday outside a strip club.

The shooting reportedly occurred about 1 a.m. outside Club X-Rated on Lakeside Avenue East near East 33rd Street in the city’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood.

Police reports said the two 25-year-old men were outside the bar in a parking lot when someone opened fire.

One man reportedly told police he walked out of a bar and saw a friend from Erie, Pennsylvania sitting in his car. He said he went to talk to him when he saw a man fire several gunshots from a car.

Man arrested in fatal shooting of Fort Worth teen

FORT WORTH, Texas — A 20-year-old man was arrested Saturday in the fatal shooting of a Fort Worth teenager in the back.

A court document states Santiago Aguilar Avila told investigators he fired after an angry crowd approached and someone threw a beer bottle into his pickup.

He was arrested hours after 16-year-old Nathan Rubio was fatally shot.

An arrest warrant affidavit states investigators identified Avila as a suspect through a license plate number provided by a witness.

Avila told homicide detectives Jerry Cedillo and E. Pate that he was driving south on North Beach Street at East First Street when he heard several people yelling and cursing at him.

Man accused of assaulting wife, stepson in west San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A man was arrested Sunday morning after he allegedly beat his wife, drove into his stepson with a pickup truck, set the front of their home on fire and then drove the truck into the home.

Police said the man started beating his wife as they argued in the cab of a pickup truck about 12:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Ricardo.

The woman’s son heard the couple arguing and attempted to intervene when his stepfather allegedly used the pickup to drive into him, hitting him in the legs, according to police.

Lake Worth man arrested in Oklahoma for sexually abusing 2 girls

LAKE WORTH, Texas – Lake Worth police said Oklahoma authorities on Thursday reportedly arrested a man accused of sexually abusing two girls when they were 8 and 9 years old.

Isaias Garcia Jr., 44, of Lake Worth faces two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two charges of indecency with a child and one charge of continued sexual abuse of a child, according to the department.

According to a probable cause arrest warrant affidavit, the two girls reportedly told a relative that Garcia had been touching them in their private places while their mother ran errands or was away from home at work.

Suspects attempted to rob 2 Cleveland bars at gunpoint

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police said masked gunmen allegedly tried to rob two bars on the city’s West Side in 10 minutes, but only succeeded in stealing cash from one bar.

The first robbery reportedly occurred about 1:45 a.m. Friday at Cocktails on Detroit Avenue and West 93rd Street in Cudell neighborhood.

Police said a man with a scarf around his face reportedly walked into the bar while another man acted as a lookout. The robber then pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash.

Girl stabbed dead after dispute with another girl in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas – Officials said Fort Worth police are investigating the stabbing death of a teen girl in south Fort Worth early Tuesday morning.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office said Nylah Lightfoot, 14, was pronounced dead at John Peter Smith Hospital shortly after 4 a.m.

Lightfoot is recorded as having died of a “stab wound of neck/chest” and the examiner ruled her death a homicide.

Police spokesman Bradley Perez said homicide detectives have already identified a juvenile suspect who is also a girl but haven’t taken her into custody. The juvenile’s age was not immediately available.

College Station man allegedly punched, threatened woman with gun

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Authorities reportedly arrested a 45-year-old College Station man on Wednesday after they say he allegedly punched a woman and threatened to kill her with a gun.

Keith Ryan Porter is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held in the Brazos County Jail on $24,000 bond.

College Station police said officers responded to a home on Harrisonburg Lane on Wednesday after receiving a 911 call from a witness who said that Porter had punched a woman and threatened her with a gun.
