Woman pistol-whipped, hit by car outside Cleveland nightclub

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police said a man and woman allegedly attacked a 34-year-old woman outside a Cleveland nightclub and intentionally ran over her leg with a car.

Tyrone Christopher Bell Jr., 29, is charged with kidnapping and Samika Williams, 23, is charged with felonious assault. The duo remains at large and warrants were issued Friday for their arrest.

Police said the attack reportedly occurred about 2:30 a.m. April 22 at the Blu Visions Ultra Lounge nightclub on Euclid Avenue and Cliffview Road.

The woman reportedly told police she was sitting in the driver’s seat of her friend’s SUV when Bell jumped into the passenger seat.

2 arrested, 2 at large after attempted burglary in Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas – Amarillo police said officers have arrested two men in connection with a residential burglary and assault on Wednesday morning.

Police said detectives are still looking to identify two other suspects in the case.

A news report states officers were dispatched at 10:05 a.m. to the 1900 block of North Manhattan Street because of shots fired.

The report stated that the victim, a 41-year-old man, told police that he had just been shot at. The victim said he arrived at his house in the 2700 block of Northeast 20th Avenue and saw at least three men attempting to break into his back door.

2 suspects arrested after downtown San Antonio standoff

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Two suspects were arrested Wednesday evening after they attempted to escape through the ceiling of a downtown motel following an hours long standoff.

San Antonio Police Department spokesman officer Carlos Ortiz said a SWAT team reportedly arrested Jennifer Tran and Steven Brown, both in their 30s, at about 7:30 p.m. in the Travelodge in the 1100 block of South Laredo.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force reportedly tried to serve an arrest warrant on Tran, wanted on a robbery charge, and Brown, wanted an aggravated robbery charge, when they barricaded the door with a mattress and refused to come out.

Akron brothers charged in attempted armed robbery

AKRON, Ohio — Two Akron brothers are charged after they allegedly tried to take a man’s wallet and shoes at gunpoint Wednesday in the city’s Middlebury neighborhood.

Police said a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy are charged with aggravated robbery in the incident that occurred about noon on South Arlington Street at East Exchange Street.

The younger boy is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and marijuana possession.

The police report states a 25-year-old Akron man was walking near the intersection when one of the boys allegedly flashed a gun at him and said “how about them shoes and jewelry.”

Arrest made in Southwest Side shooting that injured 3

SAN ANTONIO, Texas –  A 25-year-old man was arrested after an alleged brawl that left three people with gunshot wounds Friday.

San Antonio police reportedly arrested John Escobedo on Friday and charged him with aggravated assault.

Escobedo is believed to be one of the shooters in what police called a large gang fight at Millers Pond Park at 6075 Old Pearsall Road on April 10.

“Officers and investigators discovered there had been a large gang fight resulting in gunfire and three victims being shot,” police said.

The fight occurred in the late afternoon around 5:23 p.m.

Fort Worth woman allegedly shot husband after fight over tax return

FORT WORTH, Texas —  Fort Worth police said a woman allegedly shot her husband after the couple reportedly argued over their tax return.

The woman said her husband attacked her first, so she shot him, according to police spokesman Jimmy Pollozani.

The woman reportedly told police that the shooting occurred after the man charged her at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning in their apartment in the 8800 block of Sharpview Drive in west Fort Worth.

The apartment is in the Emerald Hills Apartments, which are in the Las Vegas Trail area.

“He could have killed my sister, he’s something else,” said Doris Davis, a woman standing outside the residence who identified herself as the woman’s sister.

Man fatally shot ex-gf before killing himself on Southeast Side

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Authorities said a 19-year-old man reportedly shot and killed his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend at a Southeast Side apartment complex Wednesday morning before killing himself in the woods behind the buildings.

Police have not identified the victim or shooter but said the couple reportedly ended a romantic relationship about a week ago.

San Antonio ISD Communications Director Leslie Price said both the victim and the suspect were seniors at Highlands High School.

“It’s very shocking news,” she said. “We’ve sent a number of counselors to the school for support, and they’re really working to support students during this time.”

1 officer killed, 1 injured in Dallas Home Depot shooting

DALLAS, Texas — One police officer was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday  inside a Home Depot store in northeast Dallas.

The alleged shooting reportedly set off a five-hour manhunt that ended with the chase and arrest of the gunman.

Dallas police reportedly identified Wednesday the officers as Chrystal Almeida and Rogelio Santander, who have both worked in the Northeast Division for three years.

Dallas police Chief Renee Hall said The officers were rushed to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas hospital where they underwent surgery.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings later announced that Santander had died, according to police spokesman Demarquis Black.

Minnesota woman who allegedly killed 2 caught in Texas

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas — A 56-year-old woman who allegedly killed her husband in Minnesota and a woman in Florida was reportedly caught Thursday night at a South Texas resort.

Two federal deputy marshals reportedly arrested Lois Riess about 8:30 p.m. at a South Padre Island, Texas, restaurant, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Riess had been on the run since at least late March when her 54-year-old husband, David Riess, was found fatally shot at their home in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. She became the subject of a nationwide hunt.

1 dead, 1 injured in East Austin shooting

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police said a man died and another was seriously injured on Thursday evening following a shooting in East Austin.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services medics said emergency crews were called to the 1100 block of Poquito Street around 6:28 p.m.

Austin police Officer Albino Cadenas said both men were taken to the Dell Seton Medical Center with gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead at 6:58 p.m.

EMS officials said the injuries of the second man are serious but are not expected to be life-threatening. Both victims are estimated to be in their early 20s.
