Man Shot While Picking Up Child At School

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Reports say that a man was shot by a suspect while the man was waiting for his child inside his car.

The shooting victim was shot in broad daylight while waiting for his son in the Citizens Academy. The law enforcement officials say that the suspect jumped at the back seat of the victim’s vehicle and shot him, according to the reports.

The Cleveland Division of Police identified the victim as thirty-year-old Elliott Miller. He was transported by the medic personnel to the MetroHealth Medical Center. He works as bailiffs at Cleveland Municipal Court. He started working on 2006, according to the records.

Arrests Made In Westerville SWAT Standoff

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The law enforcement officials in Westerville say that they were able to arrest five persons in connection with a SWAT standoff Friday night.

Other news media outlet reported that the five persons who were arrested were robbery suspects and were inside the home in Parkview Avenue, where the standoff took place between them and the SWAT team after they refused to come out, according to the reports.

Three of the suspects who were inside the home were responsible for robbing a man who was walking to work prior to the standoff. The robbery victim was able to flee from the suspects and called the law enforcement officers.

Suspect In Family Dollar store now in custody

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police say that they were able to identify and arrest a Cleveland man who is believed to be responsible in the robbery that took place last week.

The Cleveland Division of Police said that he is responsible for robbing a Family Dollar store and a Subway restaurant on West 25th Street.

The 22-year-old Cleveland man is identified as Ryan Dorty, on Sunday, November 10th, 2013. He was the suspect in a robbery that happened at a Subway on West 25th street.

Man Shot Outside Downtown Bar

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A man was taken to a hospital after he was shot by two suspects early Saturday morning after they robbed the man.

Cleveland Division of Police is still on the look-out for the two suspects who robbed and shot a man near a downtown bar.

Police reports say that the incident took place in the East 13th Street near St. Clair Avenue in a parking lot near the Vada Restaurant and Lounge where the officers were called to respond. It was around 12:53 early Saturday morning when the shots were heard in the area.

Man Beats, Kidnaps Former Girlfriend And Her Kids

WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio Reports say that a man from Williamsburg allegedly had beaten his former wife and kidnapped her and her kids.

Williamsburg Police Department said that the woman told the officers that the man robbed and kidnapped her along with her kids in Mt. Orab by her former boyfriend. She also told the officers that the man also forced her to drive him in a drug deal, according to the reports.

The former boyfriend of the victim broke into the home of the woman on Nixon Road in Mt. Orab. The man entered through the back door on Tuesday afternoon.

Elderly Woman Fights Off Intruder With Cane

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio – A man who broke into the home of an elderly woman had his hands full when the woman fought back using her cane.Rozella Brown

The woman is an 83-year-old whose home is on Bessemer Road in Buchtel. The suspect broke into her home at around noon. The woman told the authorities that she saw the man crawling in the kitchen.

The Athens County Sheriff’s Office said that the elderly woman first heard the doorbell rung but did not answer the door or tried to see who is at the door. Later she noticed a man who was crawling in the kitchen.

One man killed in Dayton shooting

DAYTON, Ohio – Reports say that a man who is believed to be from Michigan was shot and killed inside an apartment on Dayton.

The deadly shooting took place in an apartment in the 1400 block of Leo Street.  The man was a native of Michigan and he was not a resident in the area but is only visiting some friends according to the Dayton Division of Police Sgt. Clarence West said.

Officers who responded to the apartment complex found the victim inside the apartment who was unresponsive on the floor. The man was shot at least twice.

Elderly Woman fights off Downtown purse snatchers

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Two robbers tried to rob an elderly woman on Wednesday in a Downtown alley and have their hands full after the would-be victim fought to keep her purse.

The Cincinnati Division of Police was able to obtain the video footage of the robbery and the officers are now looking for the two robbers.

The incident took place in the Ruth Lyons Alley between Sixth and Seventh streets where the Cincinnati officers were called to respond. The two men followed the elderly woman and tried to snatch her purse in the area at around 7:00 Wednesday morning, according to the reports.

Man shot in head in Lincoln Heights

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Ohio – A man was transported to a hospital after he was shot in the head Monday evening in Lincoln Heights.

The law enforcement officials in Lincoln Heights said that the shooting victim was able to walk to a nearby police station to report the incident. The police department where he went is located on Steffen Avenue.

The law enforcement officers said that they were dispatched to the 1100 block of Chamberlain Avenue at around 8:40 on Monday evening where the man was allegedly shot, according to the reports.

Teen Shot By SWAT Officers

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus police SWAT officers shot a teen who they say is involved in a series of sting robberies in the east side of Columbus on Wednesday evening, according to the reports.

The teenage boy was with a group whom the SWAT officers were following Wednesday night in connection with several robberies that occurred in the city.

Reports say that the group is composed of two adult males and three teenage boys.
