Teacher Caught, Accused of Illicit Sexual Conduct with a Student

FORT WORTH, Texas – A Fort Worth teacher being suspected of engaging in several kind of sexual conduct with a student have apprehended by Fort Worth authorities.

Sources say Fort Worth police arrested the 25-year-old Jennifer Riojas for having been into sexual conduct to a student. She has been charged with sexual assault involving a child.

Riojas was a former teacher at Carter-Riverside High School.

It was learned from school officials that after she was blamed for having a relationship with a 16-year-old student, Riojas had apparently quit her job and left the school.

New Jersey Man Charged as Second Slay Suspect at Phila Hotel

CENTER CITY, Philadelphia – A 20-year-old man from Bridgeton, N.J., was arrested Monday, linking him to the Oct. 30 murder of Patrick Michael Brady at the Omni Hotel in Philadelphia.

Richards Collins was charged with criminal conspiracy, theft and abuse of a corpse, police said.

Collins was with friend Herman Burton, a transgender prostitute who was charged earlier this month for beating and strangling Brady, of Thorndale, Chester County, on his eight-floor room at Old City Hotel, according to homicide Sgt Tim Cooney.

Burton, identified himself as a woman named Peaches, invited Collins to hang out in Brady’s room after Brady’s murder, Cooney said.

Police:Danvers’ Teens Offered Money for Sex

DANVERS, Massachusetts – A suspicious man may be prowling the streets luring Danvers’ young girls, according to police.

On Friday, two 13-year-olds told the police that around 4:45 p.m., a man approached them and he offered them both with money in exchange for sex.

“They thought he was just asking for directions the way his tone of voice was, but they didn’t think anything of it,” said Danvers Police Department Sgt Robert Bettencourt.

Allegedly, the suspect offered the young girls $200 each. While the girls were walking along Hyde Street, the suspect in a blue metallic colored minivan approached them, investigators said.

Brewer Man Still Locked in jail Following Arrest in Standoff

BREWER, Maine — After a brief standoff with police on Blake Street, a local man was arrested Monday afternoon.

For violating a protection order, Norris Martin, 59, was charged with and taken to Penobscot County Jail, according to Brewer police Capt. Jason Moffitt.

As of Monday evening, a jail official says Martin still locked up in jail where he was being held on $60 bail.

Moffitt said he could not discuss the details surrounding the incident, though, what he did say was the trouble started about 1:25 p.m. at the same time as police were conducting an investigation into whether Martin had violated a protection order for contacting to a protected person.

20-Years Prison term Sentenced to a Drug Dealer

He was in the 32 others investigated and charged related to illegal drugs activities.

ALOHA, Oregon – An Aloha man whom the federal authorities said have sold “massive amounts” of methamphetamine and cocaine in the Portland area was sentenced and will serve to 20 years in federal prison, a judge ruled today, Nov. 04.

The drug dealer, Angel Ramirez-Arroyo, was among in the 32 people that have been charged during an investigation known as Operation Crystal Pearl.

A spokeswoman of the Department of Justice says Ramirez-Arroyo have sold multiple pounds of meth and multiple kilograms of cocaine in the Portland metro area from 2007 to 2008, along with the others.

Columbia College Building Closed Over ‘Suspicious’ Weekend Call

CHICAGO, Illinois – The Columbia College in Chicago officials said, they spurred the evacuation and closure one of its school buildings, following a threat message left on an answering machine over weekend.

The school website posted the closure of its college building at 618 Michigan Avenue.

A threatening message was left on an answering machine in an administrative office at 4 p.m. Sunday, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez. What was the threat, the officer could not say, but it was not a bomb threat.

Osceola school district officials assure students and parents that campus is safe.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Florida — To reassure students and parents that the campus is safe, Osceola County deputy sheriffs will be on hand at Poinciana High School on Monday. Following an investigation about threats posted online against students of the said school.

Sheriff’s officials announced Sunday that with the help from McAllen Police Department and the FBI, a 15-year-old former Poinciana High student now living in McAllen, Texas, had been arrested.

Sanford Woman Charged for Having Sex with a Teen, Pleads No Contest

SANFORD, Florida — After being charged for having sex with a 17-year-old boy, a 34-year-old Sanford woman today pleaded no contest to a reduced charge and a six-month jail term.

Kathryn Echols had been charged with a more serious crime–three counts of engaging in sex with a minor. She pleaded no contest to a single count: felony battery.

The court had scheduled her to return on November 29 for sentencing where she will be ordered to jail for six months. Another 18 months of house arrest will follow along with three years of probation.

Man Severely Shot near Evanston Township High

COOK COUNTY, Illinois — A man was fatally shot Thursday night just half a block away from Evanston Township High School, officials said.

According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, the 23-year-old Marcus Davis was hit severely with gunshots in the 1400 block of Dodge Avenue in the north suburb. He was pronounced dead on the scene probably at 10:25 p.m.

If the fatal shooting did not happen, Davis had plans to move to Atlanta, where his mother lives and find possible work in his uncle’s landscaping business, his grandmother said.
