Carjacking at Kerruish Park in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Police Department is investigating a brutal carjacking in an east side park Tuesday afternoon.

Other news media outlet reported that the 56-year-old victim went to a park in Kerruish Park in Cleveland at around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. The man is said to meet with two men at the park. The reason for the meeting is not clear.

Officers from the Cleveland Division of Police said that as the victim got out of the vehicle, the two men who he is supposed to meet pulled a handgun and pointed it at his head.

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Division of Police is investigating two carjacking incidents on Wednesday afternoon which were believed to be unrelated.

The two drivers were robbed of their vehicle at gunpoint and they were forced out from their vehicle by the suspect, according to the reports.

The first carjacking incident took place at Wendy’s on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard at around 2:10 Wednesday afternoon. The victim was inside his car when two men approached him and asked for a light.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Police Department is investigating the death of a man who tried to get his vehicle back after it was carjacked early Sunday morning.

It started on the 2100 block of W. 98th Street shortly after a friend of the 44-year-old Cleveland man let his friend borrow his car at around 3:30 early Sunday morning and was carjacked a short time later, according to the reports.

The Cleveland man’s friend was able to escape the carjackers. He told the authorities that a group of individuals armed with knives and base ball bats carjacked his friend’s car.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police say that they are investigating two shooting incidents where one man was shot in the leg and another man was fatally shot in the upper chest.

The Cleveland police officers said that the first victim was shot in a carjacking incident in Cleveland’s East Side, according to the reports.

The twenty-five-year-old Cleveland man was carjacked on Bayliss Avenue. He was talking with a friend at around 10 p.m. Thursday evening when three men who were on a sports utility vehicle stopped and approached them.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police in Cleveland say that they are investigating a shooting incident where a 32-year-old Cleveland man was shot and killed on the city’s west side, according to the reports.

The Cleveland police and the Emergency Medical Services were called to respond to the West 145th Street and Puritas Avenue following a report that shots were fired in the parking lot area, reports say.

When the Cleveland police arrived at the scene, they found the 32-year-old Lakewood man identified as Richard Peyton with a gunshot wound to his left buttocks, according to the reports.

TOLEDO, Ohio – Police in Toledo say that they arrested a twenty-year-old Toledo man after a standoff with the Toledo police that lasted at least three hours, according to the reports.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force were executing a warrant for the arrest of the twenty-year-old Toledo man in connection with an armed carjacking in North Toledo when he barricade himself in the Regina Manor public housing complex near Summit Street in North Toledo, according to the police.

The location of the wanted carjacker was discovered after the Toledo police were informed by an anonymous tipster that the fugitive was hiding in the area.

SUNBURY, Ohio – The Law enforcement officers in Delaware County say that a woman was raped after being carjacked at a local fast food restaurant, according to the reports.

The woman was carjacked at the McDonald’s restaurant on Lyman Drive in Hilliard. The woman told the officers that she was inside her car when two men entered the vehicle.  She said that her vehicle was unlocked when the incident took place, according to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

The two suspects drove the vehicle around Central Ohio for a few hours before raping the woman, according to the reports.

North Ridgeville police seek help in carjacking and assault

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Police in North Ridgeville say that a carjacking that took place Tuesday night had escalated into abduction and assault of a forty-three-year-old Elyria woman, according to the reports.

The carjacking of the vehicle of the forty-three- year-old Elyria woman took place on Cleveland Street in Elyria. North Ridgeville police Lt. Greg Petek said that the woman was visiting her friends in North Ridgeville when the incident took place.

The incident took place at around 5:30 a.m. early Tuesday morning. She told the police that she stopped at the traffic light when suddenly a man armed with a knife entered her car, according to the reports.

DAYTON, Ohio – Police in Dayton say that a man was shot a couple early Thursday morning in an apparent carjacking incident, according to the reports.

Police in Dayton are looking for the suspect in the carjacking incident that happened early Thursday morning near the 2700 block of North Main Street. The Dayton police were alerted of a couple who were shot at around 3:30 early Wednesday morning.

When the Dayton police arrived at the scene, they found the couple who were shot in the leg. They told the police that a man shot them and took their car, according to the reports.

Woman Carjacked On Busy German Village Street

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police reports say that three men took the woman’s vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South 6th Street in German Village. The men were armed when they carjacked the woman, according to the reports.

An eyewitness said that one of the robbers pointed a gun at the woman who was getting into her car when the three robbers approached her.  The men then took the key from the woman and fled with the car in an unknown direction.
