Bexar County man robbed after paying back $10 debt

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Authorities said a 27-year-old man was arrested after a Bexar County man was beaten and robbed over an old $10 debt even though he had already paid back the money.

Andre Williams was arrested Thursday in connection to the alleged attack in the 10500 block of Mustang Walk on May 18.

An arrest affidavit states the victim reportedly got a call that day from an acquaintance who said he would be in the area and wanted $10 the victim had allegedly owed him for months.

Officials said the acquaintance reportedly told the man to give the money to his friends, who were waiting outside in a SUV, and the man complied.

Minutes later, the man reportedly allowed a woman in the SUV to use his bathroom and while she was in there, the other occupants of the SUV came into the home, beat him and robbed him of his handgun.

Officials said the man was able to escape to a bathroom and lock the door until the suspects left.

The affidavit states investigators reviewed video of the incident and quickly identified the woman who used the bathroom during the incident. The woman reportedly identified the other suspects and confirmed the victim’s account.

Williams was charged with aggravated robbery, and a judge set his bail at $75,000. It’s unclear if the other suspects have been arrested yet.

In a separate incident, Bexar County deputies reportedly arrested another 27-year-old man Friday after a 2-year-old girl was allegedly raped.

Martin Tejeda was charged with super aggravated sexual assault of a child after the girl indicated to other family members on May 28 she had been sexually assaulted.

On that day, the girl refused to allow her mother to change her diaper, the arrest affidavit states. The child’s mother reportedly took her to a hospital where a nurse examined her and found signs consistent with an assault.

Jail records show Tejeda was arrested on a $100,000 bond.
