CLEVELAND, Ohio — Authorities said two men were shot early Monday outside a strip club.

The shooting reportedly occurred about 1 a.m. outside Club X-Rated on Lakeside Avenue East near East 33rd Street in the city’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood.

Police reports said the two 25-year-old men were outside the bar in a parking lot when someone opened fire.

One man reportedly told police he walked out of a bar and saw a friend from Erie, Pennsylvania sitting in his car. He said he went to talk to him when he saw a man fire several gunshots from a car.

The man and the friend from Pennsylvania reportedly ran from the strip club to the parking lot of a sheet metal manufacturing company two blocks away. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

Detectives are investigating what led to the shooting. Two other men were shot at the same club on Sept. 30.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, police said a Maple Heights woman was shot in the head as she drove away from a nightclub in the city’s Euclid-Green neighborhood.

The shooting reportedly occurred about 2:30 a.m. Friday after the 30-year-old woman left the Visions Blu Ultra Nightclub, where she watched Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

She and a friend reportedly drove away from the bar on Euclid Avenue when they heard a barrage of gunfire soon after they pulled out of the club’s parking lot.

Bullets shattered the woman’s car windows and a bullet reportedly ripped through the back left side of her head and exited the opposite side.

The two women switched seats, and the 30-year-old woman’s friend tried to drive her to the hospital. Her friend reportedly got lost because neither woman was from Cleveland.

They ended up on Monticello Avenue in Cleveland Heights, where Cleveland Heights police officers spotted them.

The officer notified Cleveland police, and a South Euclid ambulance took the woman to University Hospitals for treatment.

The woman’s condition is unknown but she was able to speak with police officers at the hospital. Neither woman saw where the gunfire came from. No arrests have been made.
