SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A 30-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly beat a woman and held her captive in a Stone Oak home.

Arrest affidavits state a theft investigation quickly turned into a violent sex assault case on Monday.

Boshoy Mina Elkhaliny was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

A San Antonio detective who was investigating a theft case reportedly knocked on the door of the home and initially got no answer.

But as the detective returned to his car minutes later, a woman ran up to him. Police said the woman was beaten, bruised and said she was being held captive.

When the woman ran to the officer on Dec. 31, she reportedly asked him to first get her out of the area, the affidavit said. The detective reportedly noticed the woman’s visible injuries, took her to a different location and called medics.

The woman allegedly feared Elkhaliny so much that she asked the officer to ride in the ambulance to the hospital with her.

The woman reportedly told police that Elkhaliny assaulted her two nights earlier after he became upset she went out to a bar with her friend.

He allegedly dragged her through the backyard and punched her until she lost consciousness. She also said Elkhaliny slammed her head against the house.

She told police that a few hours after the brutal assault, Elkhaliny sexually assaulted her. He then prevented her from leaving the house, authorities said.

A nurse specializing in sexual assault reportedly examined the woman.  Medics also determined she suffered an orbital fracture near her left eye that caused her to lose vision.

Elkhaliny, who also had an outstanding warrant for burglary of a habitation, was at large until Monday. He is being held in the Bexar County Jail without bond.
