LAREDO, Texas – Laredo police said they have arrested a 25-year-old woman on Monday for allegedly pointing a gun at a man who saw her making an apparent drug transaction.

Michelle Garza was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, engaging in organized criminal activity and failure to identify a fugitive from justice.

She was also served with a warrant for drug possession.

Two other women were also arrested in the case on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and engaging in organized crime.

The women were identified as Jennifer Marie Contreras, 26, and Edna Solis, 26. Contreras was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities said the incident began when they responded to reports of a reckless driver at 2:16 a.m. in the intersection of San Francisco Avenue and Lafayette Street where a man said a woman in a white car had pointed a gun at him.

Officers later located a white Chevy Camaro at a Stripes convenience store in the 3900 block of San Bernardo Avenue.

An investigation revealed that the man saw an apparent drug transaction involving the Camaro before Garza allegedly drove up to him, asked him “What the f–k are you looking at?” and pointed a firearm at him, Laredo police said.

Authorities said they discovered a .45-caliber handgun, 3.6 grams of crack cocaine and 2 ½ bars of Xanax in the vehicle.

Solis and Contreras said they were inside the vehicle when Garza pointed the gun at the man. Both further stated that the cocaine belonged to Garza.

Solis reportedly told authorities that Garza had left narcotics and money at an apartment in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street where authorities reportedly found a safe.

Garza allegedly handed officers the key to unlock it. Police opened the safe and discovered 39.4 grams of cocaine, 10.1 grams of heroin and $1,874. The three women remained behind bars at the Webb County Jail.
