Cleveland woman allegedly shot boyfriend

Cleveland, Ohio – Police said a 22-year-old Cleveland woman allegedly shot her boyfriend Tuesday morning on the southern border of the city’s Edgewater neighborhood.

A felonious assault warrant was issued Tuesday for Patricia Justers who is accused of shooting her 51-year-old boyfriend in the leg because she suspected him of cheating.

The man was driving a car in which Justers was a passenger. A Cleveland police report states the woman became irate because she thought he was having an affair.

The man reportedly told police that she pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and shot him in the knee.

The man reportedly grabbed the gun away from Justers, released its magazine and ejected the round in the chamber, the report says.

He reportedly pointed the gun at her and told her to drive him to the hospital. The man said he moved into the backseat and was dropped off at Lutheran Hospital.

The man reportedly went into the emergency room and Justers then drove away in his car, taking the gun with her.

Police searched for the car later on Tuesday, but did not find Justers, who is also wanted on charges of felonious assault, aggravated menacing and grand theft in connection with two felony cases from 2016, according to court records show.

In an unrelated shooting Wednesday, a 29-year-old woman was reportedly shot in the back about 12:15 a.m. after returning home from the store.

The shooting reportedly took place at the woman’s home on Gertrude Avenue at East 57th Street in the city’s South Broadway neighborhood.

The woman said she reportedly parked in her driveway and was walking into her home when a red car stopped in front. The driver reportedly stuck a gun out of his window and fired several gunshots at her.

One bullet reportedly struck her in the lower back while two others hit her home. The man reportedly sped off and has not been arrested.

Police said the woman was taken to MetroHealth. The woman reportedly told police she did not know the man or recognize him.
