MADEIRA, Ohio – The 31-year-old Madeira mother of an 8-year-old Madeira Elementary student was arrested at the school Tuesday afternoon in connection with drug related charges, according to the reports.
The Madeira Police officers were called to respond to the school after an employee of the school reported that a parent appeared to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs in the school vicinity just before the students were dismissed.
Other news outlets say that the 31-year-old Madeira mother who is identified as Emily C. Rosenberger was going to fetch her daughter who was having a Valentine’s party at the school. Rosenberger was carrying a purse full of drugs.
One of the school’s staff noticed that the woman was acting strangely as she was walking out of the school.
The Madeira police officers who were on the scene discovered that she was carrying hydrocodone, OxyContin and white powder believe to be cocaine, according to the reports.
The Hamilton County Children’s Services was informed by the officers and gave the custody of the child to the grandparents. The unidentified 8-year-old child was transported to the grandparents by bus.
Reports
also indicated that she was in a possession of a straw with white powder inside it and the screen of her cell phone had white powder in it which is believed to be drugs.
She was arrested in the school property. There was no incident when she was arrested. She was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning, according to the reports.
The Madeira police officers transported the woman to the Hamilton County Justice Center. She was charged with three counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the reports.
