COLUMBUS, Ohio – Law enforcement officers in Columbus say that they were able to apprehend a Columbus City high school student Tuesday after learning that he was armed with a handgun, according to the reports.
The arrest was made after a fellow student reported that a male student was able to sneak in a handgun inside the school. The student was a black male.
The Columbus police department was informed about the armed student and was called to respond to the Marion-Franklin High School at 1265 Koebel Road.
When the Columbus police arrived at the scene, the school was placed on a locked down as they searched for the armed student, according to the reports.
It was about 11:15 late Tuesday morning when the school was placed on a locked down. The armed student was arrested shortly after the lock down of the school, according to the reports.
It was not clear why the black male student had a weapon inside the school and how he was able to sneak it into the school.
The armed student was identified as eighteen-year-old Razoar Harding. He was arrested and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a concealed weapon on school grounds.
On a separate story, the hearing for the sixteen-year-old high school student from Akron who was arrested in connection with the Craiglist killing was postponed, according to the reports.
The hearing that was postponed Tuesday was intended to deliberate whether the boy will be tried as an adult or a minor. On the other hand, additional charges of murder and complicity to commit murder were added to the charges against the boy, according to the reports.
